Fine Décor Engages The Supply Chain Consulting Group Warehouse and Logistics Specialists

Fine Decor Wallcoverings Ltd is a family owned 5th generation business, employing over 200 employees on-site in Holmes Chapel. These employees bring a wealth of knowledge with some having over 40 years’ experience developing their craft.

Specialising in a wide array of high quality wallpaper printing techniques, Fine Decor Wallcoverings are the manufacturing arm of Brewster Home Fashions; their manufacturing and warehousing is operated out of their factory, located in the heart of Cheshire.

Their factory includes a team of skilled designers, colourists and printers, an experienced sampling team and product development specialists working together, with a variety of new substrates and techniques to ensure that they produce the most beautiful and cutting edge designs in the market.

The product lifecycle which lasts anywhere from three to five years from initial inclusion in books can see the product re-run at any point into current books, and their facility in Holmes Chapel currently carries approximately 6,800 live SKUs.

Fine Decor provide a three-day order lead time which results in demand volume being loaded towards the start of the week. Orders are picked and despatched daily for collection by the appropriate carriers. In addition to this Fine Décor deliver to a diverse client base and manufacture and export to the Middle East, Boston and China via containerised shipping.

Fine Décor have a truly diverse portfolio of projects and are proud to produce wallpaper, stickers and borders for any of today’s household names. They are one of the oldest wallcovering establishments in the UK and through continuous innovation and passion, they have established a heritage brand.

Fine Décor engaged the Logistics, Warehouse and Supply Chain Specialists at The Supply Chain Consulting Group (SCCG), to enable them to achieve efficient and cost effective warehouse operations within their existing site, whilst subsequently aiming to improve upon their quality of service delivered to customers.

The SCCG team provided Fine Décor with solutions for optimised processes within their current facility, which in turn ensured they could implement cost effective warehouse processes and accommodate their growth plans for the longer-term planning horizon, whilst simultaneously enhancing their levels and quality of customer service.
