XL Joinery Ltd are market-leading suppliers and importers of quality Hardwood, Oak, and Pine Doors, offering their customers the most comprehensive range of wooden doors and associated joinery available in the UK. For over 25 years XL Joinery have been helping homeowners transform the spaces they love through their innovation and constantly evolving product range. 

Operating from their head office in West Yorkshire, XL Joinery now supply in excess of 400,000 doors every year through their extensive network of customers including Builders Merchants and Retail channels. As a company, XL Joinery is committed to ensuring that they provide the highest level of service together with quality products at cost effective prices to their customers.

To provide space for the future growth of the business, XL Joinery decided to move to a new warehouse, to allow for their facility layout and processes to be optimised. The Supply Chain Consulting Group (SCCG) was engaged by XL Joinery, to assist with the design and optimisation of their new facility.

Employing design modelling tools, and facility and inventory analysis, the SCCG team of Specialist Supply Chain and Logistics Consultants developed plans for process optimisation, including pick face layouts, picking routes and work areas.

Through the use of sophisticated design facilities, SCCG presented XL Joinery with information and designs to enable the XL Joinery team to make fact based decisions regarding the suitability of their new site, along with investment plans for equipment required to best support the future growth strategy of the business.
