Gideon Hillman Consulting have provided project support to Premier Foods since May 2008 with their Materials Handling and Supply Chain operations including Warehouse, Logistics and Distribution Network Operations. These projects have included strategy design, project management and implementation.
Upon the return of food inflation and changing retailer promotional strategies, Premier Foods wished to combine their logistics operations into one centralised warehousing and distribution operation. Updating their strategy to give an equal focus to revenue growth, cost efficiencies and cash generation.
Premier foods required the cost-effective consolidation of their sweet treats and grocery businesses, into a single depot based in the Tamworth area; and once again, enlisted the help of Specialist Logistics and Supply Chain Consultants Gideon Hillman Consulting, to provide this fully integrated and seamless solution to support their manufacturing and distribution operations.
