Investment into People and Technology Pays Off

Our strategy for the last 12 months has been one of expansion. We have invested into the new role of  Project Development Director , which has been filled successfully by Simon Padley, and we have also welcomed Ian Maughan (specialist in Warehouse and Logistics Operations) as an Associate Director.

We have also invested in improved IT infrastructure and standardised the collaborative working relationships with our suppliers making the whole business more efficient as we continue to grow year on year.

The Warehouse, Distribution and Logistics Specialists at The Supply Chain Consulting Group (SCCG) have been working on a total of 21 projects in the first quarter of the current 2016 calendar year.

The clients include many strong brand names across a range of sectors including Greene King, Premier Foods, British Gypsum, DASCO Fine Shoe Care, Weidmann Electrical, Fine Décor, Srixon Sports, Coach House, Frequency Telecom, XL Joinery, John Pointon & Sons, International Logistics Group Ltd and PWS Distributors.

The projects include transport and distribution strategy review and development, complete logistics network optimisation, warehouse improvement projects and warehouse design and build projects all requiring a range of the specialist skill sets unique to the highly experienced and qualified consultant team.

The last three month’s hard work has ensured this great QTR 1 result with an increase of 30% in revenue for the same period in the previous year.

All this goes to prove that a business strategy that includes investment into the right people, systems and infrastructure will pay off if implemented and managed correctly.
