Gideon Hillman Consulting, the supply chain management specialists, has been working in partnership with Cygnet Foods Ltd, to further improve its supply chain and service to its customers.
Based in Warrington, Cygnet Foods Ltd is dedicated to the provision of high-quality food and catering services to Business and Industry under the umbrella of Compact Catering and to Education under the umbrella of Cygnet Catering.
With the additional support of its ISO 9000 (2001) accredited Central Production Unit, Cygnet can develop, prepare and distribute a vast range of individual and multi portion food items, which are delivered daily by its own fleet of vehicles throughout England and Wales.
Phillip Beckham, Food Supply Chain Specialist Consultant with Gideon Hillman Consulting, has been working closely with Jim Cartwright, Chairman of Cygnet Foods Ltd, and his management team in developing environmental processes and waste reduction initiatives towards the ultimate goal of achieving the ISO 14001 environmental standard.
In addition to process re-engineering and improvement, Phillip has provided training support to the management team of both divisions of Cygnet Foods Ltd to ensure that the processes are clearly understood, implemented and maintained.
