Gideon Hillman Consulting 2017 RoundupConsistent with the previous year’s developments in the UK’s Logistics, Distribution and Warehousing sector; 2017 celebrated GH Consulting being awarded new and further project contracts, particularly in the e-commerce, FMCG, Retail and Construction sectors. In addition to this, October 2017 saw GH Consulting turn 13 years old!

The GH team of Logistics and Supply Chain Specialists are proud to announce that 2017 has heralded many more achievements within their specialist sectors including but not limited to: Supply Chain and Logistics Operations; Distribution Network StrategyWarehousing Operationse-commerce Logistics and Warehouse and Distribution Centre Design. 

2017 introduced GH to an exciting assortment of new clients who will hopefully continue to enlist the skills and expertise of our Specialist Consultants, highlights of which included completing work for prestigious clients from Travis Perkins and NISA, to Weston Homes, Greene King, Diageo, Sofology, Kerry Group, WICOR Group, Menzies Distribution, Siemens Industrial Turbomachinery, Fine Décor Wallcoverings, Home Innovations, The Pen Shop, Nottingham University, Coach House, Frequency Telecom, John Pointon & Sons, XL Joinery, APD, Bryson Products, National Autistic Society, Conwy Borough Council, Supreme Imports, Jestic Food Services, and PD Bannister Haulage. 

In addition to further and continued project work for our existing clients including: Menzies,British Gypsum, The Cooperative Group, Wall Family Europe, Premier Foods, Brewed by Hand, DASCO Shoe Care, Electrium, PWS Distributors,Beiersdorf, and Pepco.

Throughout 2017, GH attended and exhibited at several industry exhibitions, including Multimodal, Intralogistex, and most recently the Food and Drink Logistics and Supply Chain Summit.

Once again, GH senior management attended and sponsored the 2017 UKWA National Conference, and additionally sponsored the 2017 UKWA ‘Logistics Manager of the Year Award’ for Industry Excellence, acting as ambassadors for recognising the extraordinary achievement of individuals and companies operating within the Logistics industry; whilst simultaneously encouraging best practice in the warehouse, whilst emphasising the importance of the role of warehouse managers.

Planning the events diary for 2018, GH will be returning to the Ricoh Arena, and the NEC, having already booked their stands for 2018 trade shows Intralogistex (stand 159) Running from 27th to 28th February 2018, and Multimodal (stand 7026) Running from 1st – 3rd May 2018. GH have also booked their stand for IMHX 2019 (stand UK16) Running from 24th – 27th Sept 2019. As always, GH eagerly anticipate attending these shows.
